The Chemical Engineering Program housed within the Rayen School of Engineering invites applications for Lecturer in Chemical Engineering with an anticipated start date of Fall 2022. The principal duties are to effectively teach Chemical Engineering courses and laboratories (undergraduate and master’s level). The Lecturer will be responsible for preparing and presenting lectures, organizing and supervising laboratory sections, developing and supervising design projects, writing and grading examinations and laboratory reports, holding office hours to meet with students outside of class time, and assigning grades. Other duties will include involvement in course and program assessment, curriculum development, and other education-related committee work.
Teaching faculty members are encouraged to develop innovative teaching methods and educational enrichment activities.
Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university-provided tools and resources.
Ability to contribute to the diversity, cultural sensitivity, and excellence of the University community through teaching.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in chemical engineering or related discipline by the time of appointment.
