Our work depends on a Salesforce Developer joining our team remotely to support the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services ( CMS ) activities.

As a Salesforce Developer supporting CMS, you will be trusted to work on Salesforce platform and provide IT development in support of Marketplace initiatives. This position is 100% remote with work schedules based on Eastern Standard Time (EST). In this role, a typical day will include:
  • 90% of this role involves programming, using Apex, Salesforce lightning component (AURA/LWC), JavaScript, and other development languages and tools.
  • Develop Lightning components both within the Salesforce Lightning Design System and by writing custom Lightning Components in JavaScript with Aura framework. Maintain fluency with Apex, Salesforce query, and Salesforce Search language (SOQL and SOSL)
  • This role involves working with teams to discover, design, code and deploy Salesforce Platform solutions.
  • Participate in the full application life cycle - design, development, testing, and deployment
  • Validate application code using unit tests, security tests, and profiling tools
  • Assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving defects encountered during various stages of project delivery, including during the deployment and implementation of the solution in production environments
  • Collaborating with Solutions Architects, Development Manager, Development Team, Business Analysts, CMS, and other Agile team members to solve complex policy and system integration involving activities across several Salesforce Orgs.
  • As an organized, analytical problem solver, you will contribute to the Agile teams sprint work to design, develop, and maintain software and tools to support building, deploying, and monitoring applications.
  • Develop better and more efficient ways of delivering solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Responsible for continually advancing the technology in a collaborative and creative Agile environment using many of the latest technologies and industry best practices
  • Conduct investigations and analysis to provide recommendations regarding technology improvements, development best practices, standardization, and upgrades
  • Work collaboratively and effectively with all levels of management and staff within the organization
WHAT YOULL NEED:
  • Bachelors degree in computer science or related field
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Development, including Salesforce lightning component ( AURA/LWC ), Apex , Visual Force Pages, SOQL and SOSL.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience on the Salesforce Platform configuration including but not limited to Flows, Process Builder, Validation Rules, Lightning App Builder.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce APIs using SOAP, REST, BULK and Streaming APIs.
  • Experience developing Lightning components both within the Salesforce Lightning Design System and by writing custom Lightning Components in JavaScript with Aura framework. Maintain fluency with Apex, Salesforce query, and Salesforce Search language (SOQL and SOSL)
  • Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud and Experience Cloud (Communities) development and customization.
  • Experienced in web technologies such as HTML, XML, CSS and JavaScript, WSDL
  • Experience with SFDC specific IDE and version control configurations (Github, BitBucket) for Salesforce development (VS Code, IntelliJ, SFDX)
  • Working knowledge and experience with complex business systems integration as well as object-oriented design patterns and development
  • Provide technical assistance and end user troubleshooting for bug fixes, enhancements, and how-to assistance
  • Possess valid Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification (please include certification # on resume or in submission)
  • Candidate must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years and must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • US citizen, EAD, or a Green Card holder
  • Salesforce Platform Developer II certification
  • Healthcare Service Industry or Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) experience
  • Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint
  • Experience with infrastructure in a cloud environment (AWS preferred)
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and frameworks such as, but not limited to: SAFe, Scrum, Kanban
  • Certified SAFe Agilist, SAFe Practitioner and/or other Agile certification
