Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Crosstrain in wall, floor and truss areas as needed
  • Read and follow blueprints and diagrams
  • Operate and monitor semi-automated equipment
  • Lift, move and maneuver various sizes of wood and raw materials
  • Load raw materials into machinery and move finishes pieces to framing and sheeting areas as needed
  • Inspect both raw materials and finished products for quality
  • Work in a fast-paced environment

Work Hours
1st Shift - 40 hours/week
Monday - Friday; 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Starting Wage - $18.50/hour (pay increases up to $21.53/hour based on performance and training progress)

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Maintain Wausau Homes core values (Integrity, Humility, Stewardship, Work Ethic, Passion)
  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Ability to utilize hand tools
  • Ability to read blueprints (construction/carpentry knowledge a plus, but not required)
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis and climb up and down ladders as needed
  • Ability to diagnose and correct errors.
  • Computer skills Microsoft suite

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior production and/or construction knowledge preferred
