Art Teacher

Long Trail School (LTS) is looking for a person who is passionate about teaching, relates well to young adolescents, and can contribute to our overall school community. LTS seeks a teacher who can actively engage students in the learning process. LTS is fortunate to have an abundance of natural resources both on campus and in the surrounding communities to utilize as classroom space. LTS desires a creative, dynamic individual who can share their passions with our students as we strive to provide them with rich, powerful educational experiences both in and out of the classroom.A strong candidate will have experience in ceramics, sculpture, industrial design, drawing, painting, textile arts, etc.



The strong candidate will not only engage with the students during class time but will support the students in their endeavors outside the classroom. Preferably, the ideal candidate will have at least five years of related teaching experience. Experience with the International Baccalaureate Visual Arts program and/or the AP Visual Arts program is a plus! The strong candidate will engage our students in active learning and help to develop a passion for the arts, and be willing to build upon an atmosphere of creativity.
