The Director, Social Equity will be tasked with developing and leading our Corporate Social Equity Program. The ideal candidate will be capable of cross functional leadership among our People Teams, Government Affairs, Compliance, Marketing, Communications, Operations, and executive team. They will have a passion for curating and fostering effective relationships with external stakeholders, partnerships, and governing bodies. The Director will have a passion for restorative justice, reform, social and gender equality. Possessing a strong philanthropic passion, our ideal candidate will be capable of change management through-out the organization.The Director of Operations reports directly to the VP of Operations of our processing facility in Monroe, OH. This high visibility role will have responsibility for the leadership and operations of manufacturing, warehouse, maintenance, facilities and quality. We are looking for a servant leader, with a deep understanding of cannabis and process improvement. This role will lead a large team of talented, diligent and effective personnel.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Assess current SOPs, identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutionsManage automation equipment and assets, including procurement, installation, performance optimization and routine maintenanceBuild strong vendor relationships and reduce costs wherever possibleManage and report on key operational processes, financial budget, and performance indicatorsOversee processing, packaging and functional resources for the site location with CI and quality reporting as well .Work closely with Facility & Maintenance Managers to implement preventative maintenance schedule, critical parts program, as well as facility modifications required for uninterrupted production and efficiency improvementsMust Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunitiesWork collectively and respectfully with other team members and in accordance with all company HR policiesSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Supervising team up to 30COMPETENCIES:Demonstrated success managing a teamKnowledge or willingness to learn state specific cannabis laws and regulatory complianceMust have knowledge of Microsoft office suite, including work excel, outlook, and PowerPointTreat people with respect, keeps commitments, inspires the trust of others, works with integrity and ethically, upholds organizational valuesIs consistently at work and on time , ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent, arrives at meetings and appointments on timeObserves and adheres to regulatory, safety and security proceduresAssess current SOPs, identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutionsManage automation equipment assets, including procurement, installation, performance optimization and routine maintenanceBuild strong vendor relationships and reduce costs wherever possibleManage and report on key operational processes, financial budget and performance indicatorsD evelop and oversee a culture of continuous improvement to Increased productivity , Improved quality, lower operating costs, improve cycle times and improve employee s atisfaction/moraleWork closely with Facility & Maintenance Managers to implement preventative maintenance schedule, critical parts program, as well as facility modifications required for uninterrupted production and efficiency improvementsMust Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunitiesWork collectively and respectfully with other team members and in accordance with all company HR policiesEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, ELIGIBILITY and TRAINING:Must be 21 years of age or older. Must be able to pass background checkDegree in Engineering, manufacturing or other related field1-2 years in an Operations cannabis site leader role (required)Training in First Aid and/or CPR certification preferred
