LawnStarter
Fort Lauderdale, FL, FL
Interested in lawn care, pest control, landscaping, and a host of other outdoor services? You can write about all those topics at LawnStarter.
And you can live, work, and write from anywhere. LawnStarter is based in Austin, but we have team members across the U.S. and world.
What is LawnStarter? LawnStarter is a company that provides on-demand online access to outdoor services. In other words, you get on our app, you push a few buttons, and someone shows up to do your landscaping, mow your lawn and trim your bushes.
We need people to write up brief descriptions of the companies that provide those services.
Starting pay is $12-$14 per hour and is entry level, but there are opportunities to advance to blog writer, senior blog writer, producers, study story writer, and editing roles.
Success in this role means we will add new customers to our platform, while simultaneously helping local businesses grow. Individuals who show promise in this role will be able to move quickly into other content production roles within the organization.
Hours are flexible, but not completely open. In other words, you’ll need to clock in and clock out and attend (yes we have them) periodic meetings. We’d prefer a 40-hour-per week commitment, but we can work with you.
You will be working with good, experienced writers and editors. Our existing content team includes the former managing editor of CreditCards.com, and a longtime TV and radio news editor, and a nationally successful magazine publisher. If you like writing but want to improve your skills, and are willing to work hard, we have the infrastructure, experience, and management team needed to help you grow.
Requirements
LawnStarter is scaling enthusiastically. If you do amazing things as a writer, opportunities will open up for you. If you're passionate about working at a startup, then there's no better place to be than LawnStarter. If you're up for the opportunity, we look forward to hearing from you!
