While we are currently remote and all interviews will be done over the phone and through video calls, job activities will be conducted in a hybrid work environment - both remotely and in person - for our Summer 2022 internship position. 




ROLE


ESM is looking for a Product Intern to join our growing team of digital media experts, strategists, buyers, marketers, and content developers for the Summer of 2022. You’ll be a part of a highly talented agency with exceptional leadership, and niche media experts.


 


The Product Intern will support the Product Team across all products ESM offers to our businesses and clients across Social Media, SEM, Digital, and Traditional channels.  


 


JOB DESCRIPTION


 



  • Develop an understanding of our business and agency workflow including our company structure, our products, and our people - both internal teams and external clients and agencies. 

  • Social Media

    • Participate in various product trainings to gain new knowledge and skill sets.

    • Receive certifications in the highest regarded social media products in the industry including Facebook /Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Snapchat and other emerging social media platforms that become relevant for client and agency partners.

    • Develop an understanding of the social media products, landscapes, emerging trends, and opportunities

    • Support the Product Team in developing paid social media strategies for our clients and businesses. 

    • Assist in the set up and execution of paid social media campaigns for Facebook, Tik Tok, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Pinterest and any other emerging social platforms.

    • Learn and assist in the analyzing and monitoring of ad performance on a daily basis.

    • Develop and understanding of optimization strategies, how they are recognized and then implemented to contribute to a campaign’s success

    • Learn and assist in the gathering of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual paid metrics across social media campaigns through ESM’s analytics and reporting dashboards.



  • SEM

    • Learn and become certified in Google Paid Search and Search360

    • After developing a fundamental understanding of Paid Search, work across all teams to investigate performance trends, validate data, and understand how paid search is affecting conversion funnel

    • Assist with planning, forecasting, reporting, and campaign management of large-scale paid search accounts across our full portfolio of countries and languages

    • Monitor spend and performance to report on the effectiveness of SEM campaigns



  • Digital 

    • Participate and become certified in Google DV360, The TradeDesk, and Basis demand-side platforms (DSPs).

    • Help to set-up and manage campaigns in demand-side platforms (DSPs).

    • Communicate thoroughly with Account Management and Client Services Teams to ensure campaigns are set up correctly, and that all tagging and reporting requirements are in place.

    • Proactively monitor campaign activity for delivery, ad quality, and performance.

    • Provide ongoing, timely internal updates regarding campaigns status and performance to the Account Management and Client Services teams.

    • Participate in pitch and project working sessions with the Client Services and Account Management Teams.

    • Responsible for pulling ad hoc reports, supporting special projects, or any administrative tasks as assigned by the internal team. 



  • Traditional 

    • Develop an understanding of traditional media offerings such as TV, Radio, Print, and Outdoor/Out of Home.

    • Familiarize yourself with traditional research and buying platforms we use as well as the systems in place for these media buys. 

    • Assisting with the Client Services Team with all planning and execution of all traditional media buys. (Note that the Client Services Team handles our traditional products). 

    • Help organize and track all sent orders/revisions/cancellations to ensure that paperwork is received and returned with a signed copy, and all electronic orders are confirmed.

    • Provide deadlines for materials and mechanical specs to internal stakeholders.

    • Provide rate expectations, creative specs, and placement recommendations from vendors to the Client Services and Account Management Teams to communicate with clients or include in strategy decks.

    • Obtain vendor reports on campaign performance including TV post buys, delivery/pacing and optimization recommendations.

    • Build and maintain excellent Vendor/Publisher relationships






 


QUALIFICATIONS





  • Desire to better understand the media landscape, media products, strategy, advertising and marketing within an agency work environment. 

  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs, Drive) and operating in a Mac environment.

  • Understanding of any media products across digital, social, and traditional media a plus!

  • Exceptional communication, time management, attention to detail, proofreading, and organizational skills.

  • Curious, enthusiastic, and eager to learn - We want you to get the most out of this experience with us! 

  • Comfortable and willing to operate under a hybrid-work environment, working both remotely and in-person at our Hoboken office

  • Must be authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
