How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
The OE/Training Planning team is responsible for managing pilot pre-month training planning and helping to support instructor/line check planning staffing. Additionally, our team supports IT initiatives for the larger team.
As a Specialist on the OE/Training Planning team, you will be expected to:
Complete resource and training planning on all fleets, strategically accounting for known risks.
Work with Crew Resources to process various tasks and to prepare for upcoming planning.
Identify process improvements, provide solutions, and work to develop and implement changes across team(s).
Manage training software applications, including future state planning, backlog management, defect identification, and change management.
Communicate the planning goals for a given bid month with the team and outside of the team.
Produce and analyze training operational data to account for future planning improvements and to make informed decisions.
Support the daily operation as needed, including managing other priorities against daily items.
Practice safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
Bachelorās Degree or 5 plus years of relevant experience
Robust verbal and written communication skills at all levels
Should exhibit initiative, innovation, and able to work in a fast-paced team environment with minimal supervision
Should be able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel up to and including Training/OE Planning, Flight Operations, and FAA leadership
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines
Ability to quickly learn potentially unfamiliar programs including Deltaās database
management system (DBMS), SAP, and OSS.
If transferring internally, should be performing satisfactorily in current position

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
Outside of the box thinking
Strong organizational, project management, and personal management skills
Proficient with Microsoft Windows and strong computer skills with knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite including: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Access.
Experience with SQL and/or SAS, or other database interface tolls and/or languages
Highly preferred: curiosity, sense of humor, willingness to try new ideas, and persistence in the face of adversity
