Policy Training Development Specialist - Trust & Safety

The Trust & Safety Policy team develops and reviews our community policies to promote a positive and safe environment for all of our Users and Content Creators to enjoy and express themselves.

As a Policy Training Development Specialist, you will responsible for developing and maintaining training material related to our content policies, to support the training of TikTok's content moderators across the globe. You will work very closely with Trust & Safety's Policy subject matter experts, regional policy teams, and additional stakeholders in Ops teams, to create and maintain policy training material, identify training needs and address them through effective training solutions.

You will provide train-the-trainer sessions, facilitate learning events and organize instructor-led and e-learning activities. You will be able to create effective content policy training material, deliver policy training and present the updates in a clear, professional, and concise manner in both oral and written forms. You will iterate the information transfer process to ensure that desired learning and performance outcomes are met.

What will I be doing?

• You will partner with internal stakeholders in Policy and Ops to develop effective training material


• You'll deliver instructor-led training, conduct train-the-trainer sessions.


• Translate policy information the learning content to address the identified training needs and align with the desired performance outcome


• You'll apply your knowledge of adult learning theory to identify appropriate training media and methodologies based on audience learning styles, course content, and desired to learn outcomes


• You shall create training plans and strategies utilizing various learning methodologies and leverage learning technology to roll out training resources(online live training sessions, safe-paces eLearning courses, online and blended learning solutions)


• Collaborate with the policy team to understand and deliver policy updates, work closely with the quality team to identify struggling areas that should be addressed through learning solutions


• Create and maintain training infrastructure to deliver high quality training materials, implement robust tooling solutions and to ensure consistency and compliance


• Measure learning effectiveness and analyze training gaps to create learning experiences that will bridge these gaps and meet desired performance outcomes

What should I bring with me?

• Bachelor's degree with equivalent 5+ years of practical experience in creating, developing, and delivering training programs


• You have a background in content moderation, policy development or trust & safety is a plus


• You have knowledge and understanding of adult learning concepts and methods


• Advanced computer and internet skills, experience with LMS platforms is preferred


• Excellent planning and organization skills, ability to independently manage multiple small to medium scale training projects from initiation to delivery


• Excellent written & oral communication skills, public speaking, presentation skills, and overall interpersonal skills


• You have the ability to adapt to business needs and work in a fast-paced environment


• You Experience working with international partners across different time zones and cultures
