The Director of Operations is charged with instilling an unwavering culture of operations excellence while mentoring and building a strong results-driven region management team. The Director of Operations is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of operations, including a direct report team of Area Coaches. The Director of Operations will partner with their RVP, Regional Training Leader and Senior VP of Operations to develop outstanding leaders at the store level through coaching, mentoring and development.




  • Provide leadership, development, mentorship, performance feedback and coach to build and enhance an ownership mentality and operating culture that achieves the company’s vision of every customer leaving happy.

  • Embrace and enhance the culture throughout the organization.

  • Drive flawless operational execution through leveraging KBP's state-of-the-art systems technology, tools, and business metrics to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability.

  • Continually assess and improve operating systems, day-to-day execution, cost controls, and building bench strength.

  • Develop, train, coach and lead the operations team to achieve best-in-class results and elevate their performance. Proactively develop management level talent within the organization to minimize turnover and to promote from within.

  • Properly use progressive discipline and action planning to address areas of opportunities with all direct reports.

  • Analyze operating margins and implement effective action steps to achieve short- and long-term company, region and personal business and financial objectives.

  • Lead the way by working with each AC in the market to meet or exceed budgeted EBITDAR; utilize available reports and data to identify opportunities.

  • Attain the financial objectives of the business through effective management of people, product, service, and facility processes, including a focus on the revenue and profit components.

  • Identify, develop, and monitor strategic initiatives.


Essential Functions:


  • Lift, carry, stack, push or pull heavy objects up to 50 pounds.

  • Stand and walk constantly for entire shifts.

  • Maneuver through compact spaces safely and operate restaurant equipment.

  • Ability to effectively communicate and follow direction.

  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and carry a minimum of $100,000 in liability insurance coverage.

  • Ability to travel for extensive periods of time, between stores and/or regions, on a frequent basis.


A minimum of 6-8 plus years of multi-unit restaurant leadership experience as an operations leader within the quick service restaurant industry with a progressive history of delivering superior results.


  • The desired candidate needs to be entrepreneurial and a visionary and be very hands-on with a positive can-do attitude.

  • Highly knowledgeable in quick service and has played a key role in optimizing company operations.

  • Successfully built, mentored, and coached effective teams.

  • Proven ability to create short and long-term strategic plans and execute them.

  • Excellent organizational skills, with ability to effectively prioritize and manage to deadlines.

  • High work standards with attention to detail; high problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • A proven history of success with driving sales and controlling costs.

  • Ability to travel significantly within the region.

  • Ability to work extensive hours.
