Description:

Currently, we are seeking a Senior Project Manager to work in the Enterprise Program Office. The EPO supports the enterprise goals and initiatives of all Corporate areas throughout the company and its subsidiaries. These departments include: Human Resources, Finance, Enterprise Risk Management, Actuarial, Corporate Development, Audit, Public Affairs, Safety & Security, Legal & Compliance.

The Senior Project Manager manages projects/programs with varying degrees of complexity by assembling project teams, developing project schedules, project plans, and all supporting documents to ensure the project/program is delivered within scope, schedule, cost, and specifications while ensuring the project/program continue to provide business value to stakeholders and sponsors. The Senior Project Manager leads and influences project sponsors & stakeholders and the core project team members in the successful completion/implementation of projects/programs as defined by the business case.

Specific Accountabilities:
  • Works with and provides strategic and tactical plans to EPO Management regarding execution and standards in fulfillment of department, division and/or enterprise needs.
  • Direct and manage multiple and complex enterprise-wide Business type projects/programs of medium to x-large size and their respective project teams of varying sizes and backgrounds that may expand across the enterprise may include people, processes, data, and technology.
  • Establish and maintain project plans, report progress as required, generate risk assessments, escalate issues, and facilitate project review presentations/meetings
  • Works with all levels of management / multiple stakeholders including C-level, operations, business analysts, change management resources and business staff on assigning tasks, establishing project/program deliverables and scheduling of those tasks and deliverables.
  • Serves as a liaison between all Divisions across the Company to prepare formal & information communication/reporting regarding program, issues, risks, and achievements
  • Obtain approval from project sponsor(s) and/or primary stakeholder(s) and control the project/program scope, priorities, and schedule.
  • Develop, foster, and manage relationships with project/program sponsor(s) for the purpose of influencing effective decision making.
  • Contribute to thoughtful and creative discussions with project/program sponsor(s), department and division management on resource and scheduling, plans and challenges.
  • Partner and assist management with the utilization of resources for project/program planning activities across the enterprise.
  • Analyze project/program data on assigned projects for efficiency gains and make recommendations to management based on findings.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of derivatives experience working in investment operations/middle office role in asset management, Hedge Fund, or investment banking
  • College degree in finance, accounting, or similar discipline, is preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of Investment Operations, new concepts and regulations and technology being used, including trading workflows and typical systems involved
  • Thorough working knowledge of complex security types, including Bilateral OTC (IRS, Cross Currency, Equity TRS, CDS, Options), Cleared and Exchange-traded products.
  • Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Statutory (STAT) relating to securities investments.
+ Working knowledge of the following systems:
  • Bloomberg, Calypso, Maximis, and TriResolve is preferred
  • CFA/CAIA/MBA beneficial, but not required.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience in providing full operational support to trading and Portfolio Management across all Listed and OTC Derivative instruments
  • With minimal supervision, must be able to work with internal and external counsel and/or senior investment professionals to resolve complex issues.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in performing all responsibilities by following documented processes and procedures, while exhibiting attention to detail and accuracy while showing initiative to help improve or redesign key processes.
  • Advanced research, problem-solving, and resolution skills, including familiarity with legal documents and internal files related to securities owned.
