Layout Artist

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESAmeriPharma is looking for a creative Senior Graphic Designer who will push the brand's visual identity forward while remaining true to its core. This position will take ownership of all design projects, from conception to completion, across all AmeriPharma divisions. The ideal candidate is someone who can understand the purpose for each design project, strategize solutions, and bring those visions to life through high-quality design.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSManage design/branding projects from conception to completionEnsure branding consistency throughout all projectsDesign original content such as: Print materials Trade show materials Promotional items Packaging designPrepare, package and spec files for print, working closely with external production vendors (i.e. proofing, color-matching and approving for print)Collaborate effectively with inventory team to choose best form factor/dimensions of physical materialsDocument brand guidelines across all AmeriPharma divisions, update and enforce visual style guides for team across multiple platforms/mediaDevelop and maintain processes for success, e.g. style guides, file organization/packaging standards, scalable design solutions and systemsDevelop and pitch concepts for use in marketing campaignsMaintain a high standard of qualityMentor more junior members of the teamAssist in developing art direction for photo and video needs, digital projectsStay knowledgeable on current visual trends, cultural touch points and brand competitorsOther duties as assignedSKILLS REQUIREMENTSA relentless attention to detail and problem solving skillsOpen to receiving feedback from multiple stakeholders and implementing feedback judiciously to reach shared goalsAble to demonstrate and articulate understanding of layout/composition, typography and visual hierarchy for all brand applications, both digital and physical.Experience in executing and overseeing production design. Be organized, detail-oriented, know how to prepare files for appropriate output to meet delivery requirementsAbility to perform tasks accurately and efficientlyExcellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to effectively convey/summarize complex issuesAbility to work independently, meet deadlines and be flexibleAble to simultaneously manage and prioritize multiple complex projectsExpert knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite; especially Illustrator, InDesign, and PhotoshopPREFERRED SKILLS AND EDUCATIONBachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in graphic design or related field.Knowledge of Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Premiere Pro is a plus5+ years work experience as a graphic designerStrong portfolio in designing various physical marketing materialsBENEFITSEEOPhysical Activities: The following physical activities described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
