It's time to put the theory into practice. And there's nowhere better to do it than in our pioneering and solutions-driven environment.
Joining the Manufacturing Engineering team as an Intern, you will develop applications to control and coordinate various motion controllers, sensors, and optoelectronic equipment.
You will follow established techniques to assist in defining appropriate hardware for application as part of the Engineering team that will make us world leaders, and be supported and encouraged to expand your skills and knowledge every step of the way.
This position is onsite in Chicopee, Massachusetts and Hours will be full-time in the summer time and part-time during the school year.
In addition, you will :
- Interact with Engineers to understand automation requirements for assembly and characterization
- Derive high-performance & yield automated assembly processes
- Measure performance parameters, analyze data, and present findings
- PLC / shop floor control expertise : knowledge of PLC programming logic, machine integration logics, communication protocols (OPC UA) between tooling machine and software
Secondary Locations Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Engineering or Science field
- Expert in Python / C# programming language
- Experience in programming hardware preferred
- IoT experience is a plus
- Demonstrate critical thinking and careful observing
