Job Description
CHOICE (http://choice360.org), a publishing unit of the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL, a division of the American Library Association), and the publisher of Choice Reviews, the premier source for reviews of new books and digital resources for academic library collections, seeks a Digital Media Producer to be the project lead for digital content marketing and creation initiatives at Choice.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the editorial director, the Digital Media Producer broadly develops and maintains the digital media channels (including webinars, podcasts, and associated sections of Choice360.org), and creates new digital products and sponsorship opportunities as CHOICE s digital environment evolves.
Other responsibilities include:
Work closely with the advertising sales manager to help evaluate appropriate sponsor and content marketing proposals for the webinar and podcast platforms.
Manage day-to-day production of content marketing projects for the webinar and podcasts.
Run rehearsals of webinars and podcasts and provide technical assistance during live broadcasts and recordings.
Manage webinar presentations and provide post-production duties on podcast episodes, taking raw sound files and turning them into fully produced episodes.
Collect and organize deliverables (leads, engagement metrics, etc.) for sponsors and maintain best-practice documentation.
Evaluate digital content metrics and identify opportunities for growth.
Ensure that content marketing programs provide value for both the advertiser and audience and do not tarnish the Choice, ACRL, or ALA brands.
Salary:
Starting Salary: Negotiable from the low-50s, based on relevant experience. ALA offers a 35-hour work week, excellent benefit package including low-cost medical/dental insurance, retirement annuity and generous paid vacation.
Location:
CHOICE is located in Middletown, CT. Hybrid work schedule available as part of our generous telecommuting policy, but we do not have any truly remote positions in states outside of our workplace sites.

Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years of related publishing experience in nonprofit, academic, or consumer/B2B media.
Bachelor's degree in mass communications, digital media, advertising, or a related field.
Broad knowledge or familiarity with trends in academic libraries and/or higher education highly desirable
Superb editing, writing, communication, and workflow management skills. An ability to manage multiple projects at once.
Ability to confidently work with brands to help them deliver content in engaging ways that provide authentic value to the CHOICE audience. You ll need expertise in working with sponsor and advertising customers, managing relationships, and providing feedback.
Track record of meeting deadlines and an unwavering attention to detail.
A commitment to editorial standards and ethics.
Demonstrable knowledge of digital presentation platforms and CMS tools, especially Zoom and WordPress, basic knowledge of HTML. Social media/Hootsuite, SEO competency preferred.
Experience in public speaking environments online in particular.
Knowledge of digital recording practices, production and editing, and tools
Knowledge of digital analytics reporting and the ability to provide directional guidance based on KPIs.
