Job Description U.S. Bank is seeking a talented Senior Technology Consultant with the ability to identify, learn and apply IT technologies to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. This technical lead will facilitate technical discussions across multiple application teams and help to develop and create products that we provide to our small business owners. Responsibilities Consults on a wide spectrum of existing and emerging technologies and associated services and processes. Leads special technical projects. Consults with senior IT Management, technical staffs, and business lines regarding use of emerging technologies and services. Provides views of business processes to find the best business value through the use of different technology components. Participates in the evaluation, selection, and application of new and emerging tools and techniques. Evaluates compliance with the organization's current and future technical standards and portfolios. Analyzes market trends concerning new technologies. Identifies need and directs effort for new standards. Develops new technology standards in collaboration with the standard's owner. Reviews standards. Provides input and direction to the standards process. Establishes and maintains relationships with key vendors, primarily focusing on industry leaders for existing and potential new technologies. Provides feedback to vendors to ensure continued architectural compatibility of the technology portfolio. Basic Qualifications Senior Technology Consultant (Grade 16) Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience At least 10 years experience with developing and implementing applications. At least 7 years experience with the concepts, philosophies and tools behind the design of applications, information and underlying information technologies. Technology Consultant (Grade 15) Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience At least 7 years experience with developing and implementing applications. At least 5 years experience with the concepts, philosophies and tools behind the design of applications, information and underlying information technologies.
