Getting people from A to B is your specialty!

When it comes to getting people where they need to go, you’re a pro! You take pride in running a department that gets people where they need to go while adding some smiles in-between. Providing a vital service to others is important to you, and you love every opportunity you have to build relationships with frequent travelers! You take your role seriously and you encourage your team to approach each drive with a friendly, alert, and cautious attitude. If this sounds like you, then serving Ohio Living as a Transportation Manger would be a great fit!

Why Ohio Living is different

  • Plenty to do. Depending on your location, you may be overseeing driving residents and patients to a different area or campus or you may be giving them the opportunity to travel off campus.
  • Safety is important. It’s important residents and patients make it to their destination safely, but it’s also important to us that you and your team do, too. You’ll make sure we’re fulfilling our commitment to providing safe vehicles and maintaining all maintenance as needed.
  • Pick your shift. Because we employ drivers for special trips and everyday travel, there are a variety of shifts to choose from. Each location has their own needs and we’re sure that we have a shift that’s the perfect fit for you!
  • Attractive pay and benefits. We offer everything you expect, plus a retirement plan, paid time off, education assistance, pay advances up to $500, recognition programs and free meals.

What you’ll do

You’ll plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the transportation services we provide on campus. You’ll oversee your team as they provide safe transportation services to groups and individuals, and will coordinate transportation for scheduled events, activities, and errands. It will be your responsibility to make sure your team follows all safety and security procedures while maintaining a clean vehicle for residents and patients to travel in. Sometimes you drive, too, and when you do you greet each passenger with a smile and assist them in and out of the vehicle as needed.

What it takes

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of the Ohio Department of Aging DRIVE and defensive driving courses or willingness to complete
  • Completion or willing to complete the Federal Transportation Administration drug and alcohol reasonable suspicion and post-accident training program if applicable
  • Two years experience in transportation operations management required
  • Knowledge of state and federal driving laws and regulation required
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
