Our global Industries and Customer Advisory communications team is looking for a quick learner who can help us with a variety of communications programs and projects. WHAT YOU’LL DO

 

Position Title: SAP iXp Intern - Industries and Customer Advisory Communications

 

Location: Virtual US

 

Expected Start Date: March 2022

 

Contract Duration: 6 to 12 months

 

- Producing a biweekly newsletter that reaches 5000 colleagues across two board areas – some writing and editing required
- Keeping our team event calendar up to date and assisting in the planning and execution of key internal events including our quarterly all-hands meetings and employee coffee corners
- Curating content and managing our internal communication channels in SharePoint, MS Teams, SAP Jam, etc. to ensure a steady flow of the latest news and content across our teams
- Supporting social media activities for an executive leader
- Scheduling and tracking project tasks for the team as needed (great for gaining project management experience) and communications metrics to help us measure and improve
- Participating in and helping drive team initiatives to evaluate and develop new and creative communication formats
- Supporting internal communications by managing our event invitations, mailing lists, mailbox, and feedback channels

 

WHO YOU ARE

 

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

 

- Background in Communications, Journalism, or Marketing is preferred
- Fluency in English, with strong writing and editing skills as demonstrated by a cover letter and, if available, 1-3 samples of writing (blogs, published articles, and school compositions are acceptable)
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools – Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel
- Previous experience in corporate internal communications is preferred
- Social media savvy, especially with LinkedIn and Twitter
- Highly organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments and follow through on commitments
- Nice to have:
- Experience with video editing and design
- Some knowledge of SAP and its core offerings
- Experience in the technology sector

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

 

- Undergraduate education with pending graduation in the next 12 months from an accredited college / university
- We will also consider candidates who have graduated within 6 months of the start date from an accredited college / university

 

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

 

As this is a global team working through a range of time zones, there is flexibility in your working hours though you will need to be available for team meetings and some events that fall within North American time zones.

 

The internship can start sometime in April or earlier, but no later than May 6, 2022.

 

This position is ideal for anyone who is planning to dedicate 1-2 semesters full time (40 hours per week) to the internship, or is enrolled in 1-2 courses only and can balance the workload (30-40 hours per week).
