The Marketing and Executive Assistant will provide a full range of administrative and organizational marketing support for the Chief Executive Officer. This position may handle confidential and sensitive correspondence and requires exercising a high degree of professionalism, discretion, tact, resourcefulness, and initiative. This position deals with a diverse group of high-level external contacts and visitors, as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization. Your creative side can focus on social media, website and marketing pieces to support our mission.

Key Responsibilities

Oversees social media vendor and works with website updates and creation of marketing materials to support membership and program departments.

Assist with event planning for major fund raiser or private fund raising events

Drafts communications and written documents such as letters, talking points, board meeting agendas and briefing documents.

Composes correspondence dealing with issues and subject matter in ways that require considerable sensitivity, discretion, confidentiality

Act as CEO s liaison with the Board of Directors preparing for meetings and work sessions; performs research and appropriate paperwork; records minutes of Board meetings


Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional administrative experience supporting executive staff.
  • Possess a high level of professionalism with ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent computer skills using MS Office including calendar management/meeting coordination PowerPoint and InDesign for creating marketing materials
  • Must have strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills and possess a professional phone demeanor and customer service attitude.
  • Experience with website and social media updates
  • Exceptional attention to detail including thoroughness and strong follow-up.
  • Must be exceedingly well organized, flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting the CEO of a small nonprofit organization.
  • Must be creative and possess the ability to interact with staff at all levels in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient.
  • Possess a valid driver s license and access to a motor vehicle.
