ROLE SUMMARY
Sanitation Technician is responsible for general facility maintenance and ensuring a sanitized facility to meet plant and employee safety requirements. Sanitation consist of washing, cleaning, sanitizing, drying, sweeping and mopping.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Executes washing, cleaning and sanitizing tasks/duties and assignments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Responsible for sanitation of equipment and maintenance of plant trays and irrigation system.
- Assure all cannabis products are free from contamination risks.
- Washing tables, trays, and wiping lights and returning them to the appropriate area.
- Clean and sanitize plant common spaces and tools.
- Clean spills, leaks and other occupational hazards.
- Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests.
- Sustains clean and tidy workspaces and displays a high standard of cleanliness
- Employ professional and clear communication practices to maintain a positive and progressive team atmosphere.
- Ensure that waste products are managed and destroyed as per the current approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all cultivation activities during medical cannabis processing, at all times, to result consistent quality cannabis products.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent
- 2 years sanitation experience
- Demonstrated experience in cultivation or other delicate commercial crops.
- Ability to follow directions and established procedures
- Maintains stable performance under pressure
- Communicate clearly, proactively, and concisely with all management
SKILLS / INTERESTS
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid drivers license
- Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize work. Work effectively with minimal supervision
- Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills
- Ability to build good relationships.
- Teamwork- collaborating with others to improve overall standards of work and service
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibilities are assigned to this position.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates in cultivation and manufacturing environments. This role routinely uses cultivation processing equipment and standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand for extended periods; walk; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms. {Must be able to individually lift up to 25 lbs}. Comfortable with heights (25 feet high), Regular and predictable attendance is essential.

This position regularly requires long hours
Hours: 6:30am – 3:30pm M-F
TRAVEL
Travel, if required, is primarily local during the business day.
REQUIRED EDUCATON and EXPERIENCE
High school diplomla or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Per state law, must be at least 21 years of age.
Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check.
Must pass a drug screening
