Job Description – Human Resources Generalist

Wellnecity provides innovative data insights & services through its ProActive Health Plan Management platform to reshape health care performance for self-insured employers and their employees. We are hiring a Human Resources Generalist to maintain day-to-day support of our Human Resources functions. The ideal candidate for this role is someone eager to grow their existing HR skills with a rapidly growing young company. While this position is flexible with some time remote and some time in one of our office locations, the ideal candidate will live in or around Charlotte, NC or Winston-Salem, NC.

Responsibilities include:

  • Administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations - process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions
  • Respond to employee and/or contractor requests and questions
  • Manage the Talent Acquisition processes, including but not limited to, working with outside recruiting firms for lateral hires; coordinating/scheduling college recruitment (career fairs, company presentations, interviews); download, review and track resumes for open positions; track status of candidates; draft offer letters
  • Assist in the preparation of the Performance Review process
  • Prepare and maintain employee files
  • Complete Forms I-9, verify documentation and maintain files
  • Reconcile benefit statements
  • Assist in payroll processing
  • Research and plan compensation packages for new hires and current personnel
  • Collaborate with other administrative teams to grow and build out current functions within HR
  • Maintain and schedule onboarding training and help facilitate the overall onboarding/offboarding process
  • Assist the Legal/Compliance Team as needed (e.g., immigration, FMLA, ADA, etc.)

Experience and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5-8 years’ work experience in a Human Resources related position
  • SHRM-CP a plus
  • Experience in an accounting, consulting and/or tech firm a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Working knowledge of human resource principles, practices and procedures
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
