Job Description

The Video Producer supports the video, audio and digital production efforts for Marketing, Sales, HR/recruiting, Training & Development and Brand & Creative. This role supports all aspects of the project life cycle from concept to delivery.

 Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with marketing partners and stakeholders to understand the goals and objectives of video requests to flawlessly execute the desired video/motion graphic deliverable.
  • Work with the Creative Producer and Senior Video Content Producer to outline the appropriate scope of work.
  • Oversee the operation of audio/video equipment — cameras, microphones, audio recorders and lighting equipment.
    • Occasionally direct video shoots (client testimonials, case studies, etc.) with supervision from the Senior Video Content Producer, including video editing, audio recording, and mixing sessions.
  • Execute video post-production utilizing the Adobe Creative Cloud; ensure the delivery of compressed videos for output in a variety of formats; coordinate internal and external file archival.
  • Create motion graphics for use in campaigns that are used in email, social and website channels

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Mastery of shooting, editing and video production - including video cameras and recorders, audio recording equipment, file compression, graphics manipulation, lighting, and post-production equipment and software is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of lighting techniques for location and in-studio shoots, plus post-production finishing techniques.  
  • Experience in directing on-camera talent.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce effective motion graphics and multimedia solutions
  • Excellent time management, cross-collaboration and communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple projects and work well under pressure.

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Broadcast Journalism, Film or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of production experience with in-house creative teams, production company or agency.
  • Strong understanding of audio/video post-production systems and processes.
  • Ability to self-manage day to day responsibilities; this position may be remote with occasional meetings and projects in the Chicago office.
