Guest Services Specialist

Description:

This role serves as the first point of contact for patients or visitors at the hospital and clinic. This team is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patients, guests, and employees.

- Greet and welcome visitors and patients

- Verify and validate patient/guests appointments and destination

- Direct and guide visitors and patients to locations throughout the hospital

- Establish and maintains a courteous, respectful, and helpful demeanor while assisting and engaging with patients, visitors, and other personnel

- Ensure policy enforcement and monitor traffic flow within the building

- Effectively de-escalating conflict or stressful situation

- May monitor metal and weapons detector to ensure safety of the hospital

- Other administrative duties as assigned

Work Environment

+ This role will sit at one of the main entrances to the hospital with other team members. Some entrances 2-3 specialists other entrances can have 10 specialists.

+ Each specialist will have a work station with a laptop, hand sanitizer, masks, and visitor passes to hand out.

+ Some entrances are busier than other but will be interacting with patients and guests throughout the day. Most of their day will be spent sitting/being stationary.

+ Working Schedule: Rotating 12 hour shifts; 6 AM - 6 PM

+ Example Schedule: Work Wed, Sat, Sun, Mon; Off T, W; Work Th, F; Off Sat, Sun, Mon

+ Training: 1 month of classroom style training to ensure they are ready to work on their own.

+ Training Schedule: M-F; 8 AM - 5 PM

+ Will move to their schedules after training.

+ This position will be required to work varied hours, which may include days, evenings, days/evenings, holidays and/or weekend with rotating days off.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

+ HS Diploma or GED required

+ Problem solving and de-escalation experience

+ Security or military experience, preferred
