Great work you'll do here:

This role is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Home Hospice providers within a region.  The RDO will work closely with the Hospice Leadership Team on all matters involving agency operations.  This position will direct special projects, collaborate with the Corporate Department Directors and Administrators on development of procedures and systems to achieve delivery of client care services in conjunction with agency and company goals and financial objectives.

  • Provides support to agencies in achievement of identified clinical and operational goals
  • Ensures participation in performance improvement activities
  • Ensures effective and ongoing, on-the-job training of agency administrators/executive directors
  • Provides coaching and counseling and makes appropriate developmental and salary adjustment recommendations
  • Prepares reports to inform leadership on updates regarding project status, issues, achievements etc
  • Ensures and coordinates communications and information flows between corporate support and agency operations within assigned region
  • Acts as an advocate for the Intrepid agencies and support center to improve the overall operations
  • Oversees marketing, sales, and census development
  • May serve as Acting Administrator/Executive Director
  • Manages special projects within the region
  • Monitors compliance with state and federal regulations and Intrepid standards, in collaboration with the EVP of Sales/Ops, Compliance and Human Resources departments
  • Monitor and maintain quality products and programs which adhere to Intrepid mission and principles in all national branches
  • Budget preparation and implementation
  • Exceptional initiative, judgment, leadership & analytical skills
  • Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of Performance Improvement Process/OBQI
  • Strong management skills, effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Five (5) years experience in operations management, Two (2) years recent multi-site home hospice experience Degree in Nursing, Business or related field. Baccalaureate/Masters Degree is preferred.  
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure (in good standing) in the state(s) of practice
  • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance
