Other Conditions: Extramural funds, contingent upon position clearance, availability of funds, and department needs. Appointment to begin August 2022. Selectee is required to complete the COE New Faculty orientation in the first year and will undergo a criminal background check.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate classes in Mathematics, multicultural, and field-based education courses for a secondary teacher preparation program;
- Teach via on campus and/or online courses for the department;
- Travel statewide to supervise teacher candidates in field-based courses;
- Participate in collaborative relationships with mentor teachers, school administrators, and staff;
- Advise teacher candidates and participate in program admissions and recruitment;
- Provide service to the department, college, university, public schools, and professional community;
- Participate in program review, assessment, and accreditation activities;
- Engage and collaborate with secondary education faculty on continual program reform, curriculum development and program events;
- Other duties as assigned.
