Title: Quality Assurance Test Intern for SUMMER 2021 - Vertica (US - REMOTE)
Location: Remote Eligible

Vertica provides a state-of-the-art Big Data Analytics platform that handles petabytes of data. It is a commercially successful, high performance, distributed database. We build tools which support many different use-cases, being flexible enough to be used for many applications. In this position, you would work on testing the core query engine components of Vertica, building automation test scripts. Testing will be performed at a system level. Testing includes covering Network, Storage from an end user perspective. You will learn the latest technologies in storage products and will also become familiar with many operating systems, and networking technologies, as well as Quality Engineering.
The ideal candidate has knowledge of:
* programming and scripting in any language PERL, PYTHON, C/C++
*Familiarity with the general operation of Linux Operating systems.
* Essential algorithms and data structures
* Excellent technical communication
* SQL
* Distributed systems
* Database internals.
You must be pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
