Come join Creighton University’s Card services team.  Be the front-line person who issues our student, faculty, and staff badges; the person who loads JayBuck$ to our card holders’ cards; the person who answers our students and employees questions about building access, card values and much more.   



 We are looking for someone who is technically savvy, organized, has a great attitude and is able to interact with a wide range of individuals and personalities.    



 



Summary:

Under direct supervision of the Associate Director of Card Services, the
Card Services department oversees issuing employee badges and facility access to campus buildings to include athletic and recreational facility use.  They are responsible for the operation of the JayBuck$ program, which facilitate retail purchases and dining plans.



 



As a Card Services Technical Specialist you will be responsible for:



General duties:




  • Provides telephone reception, directs to appropriate person/department, and follow up on pending matters

  • Monitor generic email account and address issues as reported; [email protected]

  • Maintain documentation; ensure accuracy/completeness of paperwork for various audits

  • Maintains and organizes confidential correspondence and file system.

  • Trains federal work study students, set expectations for tasks, processes, and customer service

  • Knowledge of iClass and ISO credentials and their use in other campus applications

  • Manage checkout of handheld Student life POS/readers

  • Collaborate with the Business Service Center to ensure all order/credit card requirements are met

  • Work closely with departments/vendors across campus to ensure compliance with policy, procedure, and application restrictions

  • Help to create informational marketing materials such as flyers and posters for events; Summer Preview, Welcome Week and special carding events

  • Partner with University Communications and Marketing to submit a project for new card designs annually

  • Use manufacturer applications to configure and update readers: e.g. mag stripe, iClass



 



Technical Skills:



Typo3




  • Update department websites for Card Services



Digital Signage




  • Create new slides using PowerPoint and implement into production.



EpiSuite Card Production




  • Issue new or replace cards using numerous criteria and card formats


    • contractors, students, faculty, and staff

    • other programs; Athletic Campus, summer conferences, lockout cards



  • Insert/update data using csv files

  • Test integrity of cards to ensure working order using RFID and mag stripe scanners

  • Create/edit card formats and implement into production

  • Partner with MyIT to update relevant database information/errors

  • Process distance learning applications as needed

  • Monitor and order card printing consumables



Atrium




  • Generate reconciliation and usage reports

  • Import/Export csv files

  • Gather and summarize data into reports; board stored value and attendance

  • Address requests for refunds/withdrawals including issuing DPR or draft vouchers



POS/Infor (Vivonet)




  • Accept cash, check, credit/debit card, JayBuck$ transactions at POS for Card Services

  • Provide meal plan/stored value balances

  • Prepare and submit daily deposits for POS/Card Services

  • Reconcile daily credit card transactions against Controllers settlements for POS and StudentLink



Genetec




  • Build cardholder groups and access rules; assign individuals/doors/schedules as necessary

  • Create schedules

  • Enable/disable first person in-rule

  • Enable/disable double tap rule

  • Setup users

  • Investigate and resolve challenges

    • Reader, credential, and rule failures



  • Prepare routine/ad hoc reports for door and credential activity

  • Ensure data integrity

    • Import/Export csv files

    • Credential; ISO, iClass, PIN, and/or biometrics





Liaison between Creighton and Prime Communications for service requests and resolutions


 



Qualifications:

Associate’s degree and two years of related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience



Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

 




  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and knowledge of technology while working under minimal supervision

  • Ability to operate computer and various software packages

  • Knowledge/familiarity with Typo3, Digital Signage, EpiSuite Card Production, Atrium, POS/Infor (Vivonet), and Genetec prefered, but will train the right person.

  • Ability to complete administrative/clerical responsibilities

  • Interpersonal/human relation skills and ability to work with a diverse group of customers Strong customer service skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
