Network Operations Advisor

Summary/Overview of role:

The Provider Engagement Advisor- serves as an integral member of the CareAllies Provider Engagement Market Team and reports to the Senior Manager. The role manages and executes the strategic plan for Independent Physician Association (IPAs) in the Alabama market as well as supervising and partnering with a market provider engagement representative, team and CareAllies initiatives. 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for general oversight and management of Independent Physician Associations (IPAs) relationships.  Including but not limited to management of provider network financials, pro-forma budget preparation and implementation, monthly action plans, reviews, and verification.

  • Develops and provides guidance on IPA/POD strategy, vision, and action plan development for the CareAllies Managed IPAs/PODs. 

  • Responsible for network development, including physician contracting, rate negotiations, network relationships, network communication, physician recruitment, and network partnerships as well as expansion of network and products offered by Health plan partners.

  • Participates in network and Company meetings, including physician board of directors, quality management, financial/bonus and interdisciplinary team meetings and other committees and projects as necessary. 

  • May manage a single Lead Analyst, Senior Analyst, Analysts and/or Associate Analyst position and is responsible for the career development of the person.

  • Local travel in the Birmingham and Montgomery, AL area up to 40%. Travel is required for out of state conferences and meetings 3-4x a year 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Five years or more work experience in health care service delivery, healthcare strategy and operations, network development/contract management role required
  • Independent Physician Associations (IPAs)
  • Experience in physician relations or managed care.
  • Previous people management experience strongly preferred
  • Experience building strong, positive relationships with providers preferred
  • Comfortable presenting to executive level and provider groups
  • Experience with-PowerPoint, Word, Excel- intermediate to advanced
  • Excellent communication skills-verbal, written and presentation. 
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. 
  • Must be an independent thinker and time management and organizational skills are a must
