The Job
DC Comics seeks a DC Comics Editorial Intern for Summer 2021. This intern will assist editors on graphic novels by reviewing scripts and art (layouts, inks, color), routing lettering pages, and maintaining weekly deadlines.

The Daily
  • Assists Editors with development and production of DC Comics, licensed comics, digital comics, custom projects, and kids line of comics and graphic novels.
  • Places lettering balloons and prepares scripts for letterers.
  • Locates reference for artists and writers.
  • Interacts with freelancers and various departments to ensure that the projects are moving through the appropriate departments as scheduled.
  • Provides administrative and clerical support to Group Editors (answering questions and monitoring deadlines).
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

The Essentials
  • Previous experience in an office or library preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Photoshop, Acrobat skills.
  • Familiarity with comic books and comic book history strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of DC characters a plus.
  • Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Must have the ability to work well under time constraints, meet deadlines and contribute to multiple projects.
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills required.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, self-starter for virtual internship.

Internship Program
  • Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for full duration of the internship.
  • Summer 2021 program dates are June 7th - August 13th; must be available for full program duration.
  • Full-time schedule (40 hours/week) designed to work around class schedule.
  • Fully remote/virtual experience; company owned laptop provided for the duration of the internship program.
  • Salary based on office location; relocation is not provided.
  • This position is targeted toward upperclassmen and graduate students.
