This position is to support the Enterprise Clinical Services (ECS) organization as a member of the FP&A team and is accountable for both consolidation and management of total ECS results in addition to support of our Strategy & Solutions operational team within ECS.  This position will work with the Finance team, within ECS and at Corporate, to ensure that the business is operating effectively, with sound financial analysis, and with appropriate financial and operating controls in place.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Partner with ECS Finance & Operational leads to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial executive packages
• Work closely with the business to develop, recommend and establish strategies, plans and processes to improve profitability and cost efficiencies
• Produce clear, well-formatted reports that communicate a clear, compelling message for their stakeholders
• Develop and maintain monthly and forecast financial reports to clearly communicate actual results, forecasted performance, and variances to plan, forecast and budget
• Develop and perform all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
• Support Clinical Advocacy & Support Finance lead in deliverable of sound financials and analytics
• Understand and incorporate industry specific metrics into reports to highlight relevant trends and support fact-based business decisions

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of financial and/or accounting experience
• Advanced level of proficiency with Excel (experience with pivot tables, database / logic formulas, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience with Microsoft PowerBI, SQL, Tableau, DOMO, or other advanced reporting and analysis tool 
• Knowledge in Hyperion Essbase, Planning and PeopleSoft Financials
• Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed organization and with a cross-functional partners
• Proven ability communicate effectively (both verbal and written) at both the working and executive level
• Solid attention to detail and accuracy

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $54,400 to $97,000. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $60,000 to $106,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
