Peer Outreach Specialist - Manchester, NH (Part-Time)

Peer Outreach Specialist – Manchester, NH. Part-time, 10-23 hours per week.

Waypoint is looking for a young adult with previous lived experience in homelessness to work with the Street Outreach team to assist runaway, homeless, and street youth ages 12-22 in obtaining basic needs such as food and clothes from our drop-in center and provide outreach and support to homeless youth and assist with drop-in services and resources. Peer workers provide street-based education to the youth of the Manchester community about the services the Street Outreach Program provides including wellness and recovery skills. Additional responsibilities may include administrative tasks, participation in staff meetings, program training, and development as well as assisting in maintaining center supplies. Candidates must be between 16 and 23 years old, stable, mature, responsible, reliable, out-going, motivated to work hard, enthusiastic, and willing to work cooperatively in a team setting. The ideal candidate will have an edge that will help build relationships with “at-risk” youth. A reliable way to get to and from work is required. Some evenings and nights may be required.
