Project Engineer

Stahl Sheaffer Engineering, LLC (Stahl Sheaffer) is a multi-discipline civil engineering firm that has been providing services since 2006. Our civil engineering firm operates from eight locations in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia, including a geotech lab in southwestern PA. Our areas of expertise include; bridge design and inspection, construction inspection and administration, environmental services, geotechnical services, GIS services, land development, permitting, roadway management, building structural engineering design and forensics, survey and 360° scanning and transportation enhancement.

Stahl Sheaffer is currently seeking to hire a Structural Project Engineer to join our building structures team in State College, PA. Our team is currently working with a host of clients in the architectural and building construction related markets including design of new construction & renovation projects, building forensics and rehabilitation, precast design and shop ticket development, steel connection and miscellaneous metals design with design experience using all common materials and Clients include architects, state agencies, contractors and private owners.

The ideal candidate for the Building Structures team would need to possess:

• Bachelor’s degree – Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering (structural emphasis) with an EIT preferred
• Three to six years experience is required for a Project Engineer position.
• Experience with modeling and drafting using Revit; experience with structural design software packages RAM/Elements and Tedds is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word and Excel
• Experience with field inspections, design and production of construction drawings, preparation of specifications, and construction administration
• Demonstrate excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills including communicating with co-workers, clients and the general public
• The ability to obtain state and federal background clearances to permit working on-site for clients
• A valid Driver’s License and daily access to a motor vehicle
