Description of program/department. 
 
  • Support office operations such as routine clerical duties (maintaining record keeping, electronic filing systems and/or databases)
  • Responds to inquiries and provides information about program rules policies, regulations or procedures 
  • Establish and maintain records and files
  • Answer questions via phone, email, online chat, and in person providing good customer service
  • Support office functions such as copying materials, filing documents, distributing mail and other office materials
  • Prepares correspondence and spreadsheets
  • Other duties as assigned of a similar nature and level
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 
  • GED OR High School Diploma
  • One (1) year of experience providing assistance to clients/customers

PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of sitting for prolonged periods of time at a desk/computer workstation, using repetitive arm, hand and finger movements. 
  • Ability to work in an open office setting with frequent in-person interaction and numerous interruptions, work under pressure, and handle multiple tasks/prioritize competing demands. 
  • Ability to read printed materials and a computer screen. 
 
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT/SALARY:  These positions may work full or part-time on an on call basis, for periods of one week to six months, to fill in for permanent staff absences.  As an hourly on-call position, there is no predictability or guarantee of the number of hours/days that may be scheduled. Hourly employees maintain an “at-will” employment relationship meaning that either you or the College may terminate the employment relationship at any time, for any reason. Hiring of this position is contingent upon available funding as determined by the College President.
