The Assistant Cultivation Manager is primarily responsible for the overseeing the Cultivation Department and holding supervisors accountable to cultivation practices and standards. The Assistant Cultivation Manager will assist in supervision of all Cultivation Departments including harvesting, propagation, vegetation and flowering. This position is required to delegate daily tasks including feeding schedules, IPM, transplanting, cloning, pruning/defoliation, irrigation control, trellising, harvesting, waste disposal, data input and cleaning. The ideal candidate must be focused, organized, professional and able to work well under pressure. Weekends are required.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding of company rules and NJMMP regulations.
  • Comply with all company policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of strains and understanding of potential benefits.
  • Assist Cultivation Manager with daily/weekly tasks
  • Ability to supervise Cultivation supervisors and technicians.
  • Maintain a clean work environment.
  • Comprehensive and working knowledge of all stages in cannabis cultivation on a large manufacturing scale and ability to apply this knowledge to the Botanist settings and workflow, including: Cloning, Nursery, Veg, and Flower.
  • Proficient in all grow tasks including: Cloning, Transplanting, Feeding, Defoliation, Topping, Flushing, Irrigation, Waste Disposal, and plant inventory.
  • Maintain grow records as directed.
  • Input and update required and appropriate grow and plant information into Biotrack as directed.
  • Maintain and execute nutrient regiment and watering schedules as directed.
  • Maintain plant schedules and grow organization.
  • Identify and report potential issues immediately to Director of Cultivation or Cultivation Manager.
  • Execute preventative plant maintenance as needed and directed.
  • Proficient knowledge of various cultivation methods and techniques; temperature and humidity maintenance; continuing education of best industry practices
  • Maintain all grow/cultivation areas; identify problems; recommend changes as needed.
  • Identify plant diseases and insects; recommend and implement plant treatment options.
  • Assist Director of Cultivation in management, development, and execution of day to day large-scale warehouse, grow, and cultivation activities.
  • Assist Director of Cultivation with cultivation schedules; grow organization; nutrient and watering regiments; develop, execution, and maintenance of all plant management policies and procedures.
  • Assist Director of Cultivation and Cultivation Manager in overseeing and training cultivation employees.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum of 1 year relevant experience
