Monday - Friday - Days, May possibly work remotely post onsite training period as determined by Manager.About The JobResponsible for accurate and compliant revenue generation through charge capture and charge error correction for patient care areas as assigned.
This includes charge entry and the review of clinical documentation to support patient charges with the goal of improving charge accuracy while meeting and maintaining regulatory and departmental requirements.
Routine Out PatientWhat We Are Looking ForEducation:
Completion of postsecondary education with diploma OR associate's Degree OR bachelor's degree in Health Information or other healthcare related field.Certification (Required):
Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) ORCertified Procedural Coder (CPC) ORRegistered Health Information Technologist (RHIT) ORRegistered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)Experience:
Two plus (2) years of current outpatient coding.Preferred:
