  • The Clinical Program Consultant, Sr. of Program Development & Implementation on the RxCare team is responsible for assisting with strategy, analysis and execution of pharmacy initiatives, programs, and solutions for care delivery organizations and Clinical Performance.
  • Apply advanced understanding of healthcare systems, data analytics, finance acumen, care delivery organization operations, practice operations, revenue cycle management, health plan operations and medical benefits to identify opportunities for affordability programs.
  • Will assist and lead discovery/exploration, opportunity sizing, execution/implementation, partner with analytics team for establishing key metrics and long-term solution management for affordability programs in the pharmacy space.
  • Serve as subject matter expert (e.g., clinical knowledge, project scope definition, risk identification, resource allocation, facilitation analytics, and finance).
  • Make presentations to management on project updates project cycle and expected results.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across UHC, Optum, Care Delivery Organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are aligned with core strategies and goals, implemented, and launched on time and in scope.
  • Participate in annual business planning and end-to-end designs of programs and strategies.

  • Create or assist with creation of an overall program/process framework based on research (e.g., purpose, mission, goals, and objectives)
  • + Define specific program/process requirements and expectations (e.g., who, what, when, where why)

  • + Identify skill, knowledge, and certification requirements for program/process implementation based on requirements
  • + Develop program/process tools and resources based on workflow requirements

  • + Oversee or assist with program or process implementation
  • + Coordinate with others to develop program or process implementation plans

  • + Provide operational or subject matter expertise to train others on program or process components (e.g., strategy, implementation)
  • + Communicate program/process status with stakeholders

  • + Partner with executive leaders in the development of organizational objectives and short and long-term goals
  • + Partner with various business units, leadership, and CDOs to identify/define performance planning/measures, programs, initiatives, based on emerging industry trends and growth opportunities
  • + Oversee and instruct functionally diverse teams to achieve desired end-results on complex problems regarding projects
  • + Lead and guide functional and segment teams through project implementations with competing agendas and priorities
  • + Develop appealing data visualizations leveraging multiple internal and external data sources (quantitative and qualitative), and drawing insightful conclusions for decisions makers
  • + Provide subject matter expertise and operational support to internal business partners
  • + Coach, mentor and provide feedback to others
  • + Maintain project and process knowledge bank to support best practice identification and implementation
  • + Collaborate cross departmentally to manage risk forecasting/mitigation, project progress and issue resolution efforts
  • + Act as a liaison between internal and external teams to help steer work stream communications to ensure response integrity
  • + Perform all other related duties as assigned

  • + 7+ years of experience in healthcare with all or some in provider practice or hospital operations, managed care, contracting, pricing, revenue cycle management, care delivery organizations, clinical patient care delivery and/or health plan.
  • + 5+ years of professional project management experience that includes at least 3 years leading and directing project tasks
  • + Experience in or exposure to healthcare operations
  • + Intermediate or higher level of proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Access

  • The salary range for Colorado residents is $97,300 to $176,900.
  • The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $97,300 to $176,900.
  • Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
