- Maintaining Confidentiality
- Assist in all aspects of the orientation program in conjunction with the Student Engagement staff and serve as liaison to other organizations and offices involved with the orientation program
- Respond to Orientation related correspondence: calls, email and social media messages
- Manage completion tracker for Online Orientation Modules
- Communicate with the PAs throughout the course of the summer
- Coordinate and manage the Get Involved Series featuring informational sessions about Clubs & Organizations, Greek Life, Student Employment, and more
- Help schedule, organize, and operate an informational session series featuring departments and offices across campus including, but not limited to Health Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, Disability Support Services, Division of Volunteer Efforts, Campus Ministry, Athletics, Alumni Relations, Career Service
- Assist in the planning and logistics of all social events during the orientation period
- Helps coordinate the development of the orientation theme, media, and communication strategy in conjunction with the Student Engagement and Admissions
- Coordinate various Orientation related publications, including the New Student Newsletter and Events Calendars
- Support the Student Engagement staff on various media projects, including raising awareness of NSOP, marketing specific events and capturing highlights of NSOP through photography and film
- Assist in keeping orientation and Weeks of Welcome Websites up to date.
- Manage WOW Squad volunteer schedule and daily logistics by assisting with check-in, sending daily reminders, and communicating updates
- Staff large-scale in-person events such as Blue Day, outdoor movies, etc.
- Coordinate, organize, and manage Hall Hangouts (a virtual event hosted by clubs and organizations)
- Assist in coordinating with other departments across campus for all events during the week
- -Active/matriculated student in good judicial standing
- Familiarity with Social Media tools
- Positive attitude
- General Computer Skills (Inc. Microsoft Office)
- Additionally, an academic interest in marketing, technology, education, public relations, graphic design and/or advertising is a plus.
- - Possess a solid academic record and be an exemplary campus citizen (Minimum 2.75 GPA)
- Prior campus involvement in work-study, club leadership, or other campus roles
- Knowledge of and commitment to the goals of orientation
- Exhibit a positive attitude and ability to motivate others
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (via resume and interview)
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with diverse groups of people
