Scope of the Role*
The Facilities Maintenance is responsible for daily repairs, upkeep, and general maintenance of the distribution center. This position ensures all maintenance operations are completed while taking care of things such as building maintenance, planning maintenance, and work orders.
Reporting Structure
The Facilities Maintenance is a key member of the Warehouse Operations Team and reports to the Assistant DC Manager.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities*

  • Repair, maintain/monitor all equipment and amenities.
  • Performs a variety of routine semi-skilled maintenance including, but not limited to, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical trades work.
  • Ensures that facilities are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition.
  • Assembles, repairs, maintains, and moves furniture, such as desks, cabinets, tables, chairs, shelves, and related fittings and fixtures.
  • Conducts routine inspections and maintenance of heating, electrical, and air conditioning equipment; replaces filters; identifies and reports more complex maintenance needs to supervisor.
  • Inspects facilities and grounds for safety and security; identifies and reports hazardous conditions and facility maintenance needs to supervisor.
  • Follows safe working practices and makes appropriate use of related safety equipment as required.
  • Monitors inventory, orders supplies, and maintains purchase records within authorized budget.
  • Maintains records and logs of daily activities.
  • Performs related duties, as assigned.

Qualifications & Required Experience*

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1+ years’ experience relevant work experience.
  • Experience with techniques used in the operation, repair, and maintenance of facilities and equipment.
  • Experience with operational characteristics of a variety of tools and equipment.
  • Experience in occupational hazards and standard safety practices.
  • Ability to perform semi-skilled facility maintenance.
  • Ability to use, operate, and maintain equipment and tools safely and effectively.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including nights and weekends.
