Our Plymouth, MN office is looking for an Operations Manager to manage the end-to-end acquisition integrations and strategic initiatives for the Operations Department and provide superior service to newly acquired firms. This role requires a high degree of independent judgment and discretion; detailed knowledge of Wealth Enhancement Group's organization, policies, and personnel; and an understanding of department operations, procedures, and regulations to determine priorities independent of immediate supervision. The Operations Manager must demonstrate integrity and versatility due to the nature and frequency of exposure to confidential information and contact with high-level internal and external stakeholders.

This is a hybrid role with the expectation to work from our office in Plymouth, MN two days per week. The flexibility to work remotely more often may become available once fully trained.

The salary target for this role is $100,000 - $110,000 depending on experience.

Primary Job Functions

Team Leadership and Development

  • Oversee the daily acquisition transition activities for the operations department and delegate tasks to assigned staff.

  • Develop guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness, and modifying activities as necessary.

  • Ensure that the Operations Acquisitions and Integrations team is staffed appropriately.

  • Handle recruiting, hiring, training, development, and evaluation of team.

Data Integration Management and Regulatory Audits

  • Complete analysis of acquired teams billing, reporting and portfolio account systems.

  • Develop procedures and guidelines to support data reconciliation.

  • Identify integration and post-transition issues and escalate as needed.

  • Work with acquired team, custodians, integration managers, and operations team to ensure back office operational efforts are coordinated and high-quality client service is provided.

  • Provide materials and information to prepare, analyze, and interpret data for audits. Ensure that requests for information are handled promptly and effectively.

Project Leadership and Process Development

  • Management of, or participation in, custodian and corporate initiatives.

  • Create efficient and effective operational processes to assist with the onboarding of new offices and back-office operations.

  • Develop procedures and guidelines to support operational functions.

  • Delivery of established key strategic projects.

Education/Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent work experience

  • 8-10 years of financial industry experience - thorough working knowledge of the financial services industry required

  • FINRA Series 7, 66 and 24 licensed or ability to attain within 90 days preferred

  • Proficient with Microsoft software suite, especially Excel required

  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Orion software preferred

  • Successful history of coaching and mentoring - ability to build/enhance high-performing teams

  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of staff and management

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
