: Key Responsibilities Drives overall manufacturing activities to satisfy production throughput, capacity, and schedule attainment goals Reviews production schedules and assigns tasks ensuring production is completed safely on time and to specification Monitor daily operations and coordinates production changes to meet shipment and production needs Manages filling shifts, OT distribution, posting schedules, rail switch, and reviews production needs Leads cultural and continuous improvement practices Direct hourly manufacturing personnel and is responsible for their performance, hiring and training Follows and provides support for all environmental, health and safety initiatives. Ensures direct reports adhere to all safety programs, follows SOPs and GMPs Qualifications: Required Education and Experience Bachelors degree preferred in engineering (chemical, mechanical, industrial or food/pharmaceutical) 5 or more years of manufacturing experience 3 or more years of supervisory experience Solid understanding of safe work practices, regulatory requirements and GMPs Experience in a Continuous Improvement environment Why is This a Great Opportunity: Position Description: A leading international producer of specialty ingredient solutions is seeking to hire a Production Supervisor for their plant in Chicago.
