The Consumer Banking Representative will ensure the client’s needs are achieved by conducting a thorough financial needs assessment and recommending the most appropriate products and services to fulfill the client’s immediate and future financial needs. The Consumer Banking Representative will generate leads, build new and maintain existing client relationships within our client experience expectations. The Consumer Banking Representative is also accountable for servicing and profiling clients at the teller window.Duties and Responsibilities:Perform both Personal Banker and Teller functions in the delivery of efficient, accurate and professional service that defines a quality client experienceSource and onboard new clients and expand relationships with existing clients in person, by telephone or e-mailContributes to the banking center’s overall success by meeting defined targets for both sales and serviceMaintain thorough knowledge of all bank products and services including pricing, bank policies and government regulationsActively solicit new consumer loan opportunities and complete the consumer loan processProvide professional quality service and react appropriately to solve client problems to ensure that resolutions and follow-ups are completed in a timely and accurate manner to the client’s satisfactionEngage in outbound calling and needs assessment as assigned by the Branch Manager to generate qualified referrals and salesMaintain a system of orderly follow-up by mail, telephone and e-mail with new and existing clients to generate additional businessParticipate in branch activities including community events, call nights and promotional eventsMake referrals to appropriate specialists including Commercial, Community Banking, Wealth Management, Mortgage, On the Job BankingAchieve growth goals and client satisfaction objectivesMeet or exceed all established activity goals (face to face appointments), voice to voice calls etc. to drive sales and referral resultsAdhere to all teller and banker related policies and proceduresEffectively manage and secure assigned teller cash drawerParticipate in all required training sessions for both compliance and other bank functionsMaintain adequate controls to ensure compliance with consumer protections regulations in defined area of responsibilityImplement and adhere to bank-directed policy and changes relating to regulatory amendmentsSkills and Qualifications:College degree or commensurate experience in Retail Banking with consumer lending experience requiredStrong negotiating skillsDemonstrated knowledge and sales skills in the area of consumer lending and deposit productsExcellent communication skills/organizational skills; strong ability to manage multiple tasksProficiency with PC requiredNMLS registered or ability to obtain NMLS registrationOld National is proud to be an equal opportunity employer focused on fostering an inclusive workplace and committed to hiring a workforce comprised of diverse backgrounds, cultures and thinking styles.As such, all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, protected veteran status, status as a qualified individual with disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other characteristic protected by law.We do not accept resumes from external staffing agencies or independent recruiters for any of our openings unless we have an agreement signed by the Talent Acquisition Director, VP, to fill a specific position.
