The Day Services Supervisor is responsible for the planning and implementation of the Adult Day Service Center services and programs. Supervises staff to ensure that activities are provided to engage the participants mentally, physically, socially and spiritually. Helping all participants maintain or improve their level of functioning and to improve their quality of life.

Opportunity Details:



Hours: Monday - Friday 8a-4:30p. No Weekends or Holidays!



Pay: $21.36 - 27.76 depending on experience.





Essential Job Responsibilities:



  • Uses pre-admission assessment tool to screen potential participants. Evaluates participant's needs for other community resources and makes appropriate referrals.

  • Develops and implements daily programming that engages clients and helps maintain or improve their level of functioning and quality of life.

  • Establishes and/or negotiates client reimbursement levels with private pay clients and all 3rd party players.

  • Supervises staff and volunteers, ensuring the safety of all clients and staff in the Day Center.

  • Reviews documentation of clients progress according to State, Federal and Day Living laws, procedures and policies

  • Provides opportunities for clients to participate as their abilities allow, i.e., assist with pushing other client wheelchairs to and from special events and assistance with meal preparation in the Day Center.

  • Hires, supervises, trains and mentors staff and volunteers, as well as maintaining adequate staffing levels.

  • Writes care plans and schedules conferences regarding client's progress.

  • Other duties as assigned.




Minimum Required Qualifications:



  • Certified by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation, certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, Licensure by the State of Minnesota as a licensed practical nurse, Activity Director certification or completion 2 years post-secondary education from an accredited college, university or technical institute.

  • Relevant Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience

  • Ability to communicate effectively

  • Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, Resident's Bill of Rights, OSHA, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, Right to know, and MSDS


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Alzheimer's/Dementia training

  • Experience working with Seniors

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification
