- Defines process parameters and optimizes the parameters using data analysis
- Defines the automation layout within a required space
- Works with external suppliers to select the correct equipment to meet the required performance parameters.
- Oversees installation of automation equipment and ensures various equipment communicates and operates together according to specifications
- Performs daily reviews of system data and scrap rates and makes appropriate corrections or adjustments to the lines in a timely manner to ensure operational efficiencies are maintained
- Diagnose, maintain and program PLC's and robots.
- Creates and updates maintenance guidelines, training of operators, maintenance colleagues and communicates appropriately with internal resources.
- Updates production & maintenance documentation.
- Line setup for prototypes production, support during prototype production.
- Communicates with suppliers.
