Position Overview

This position is responsible for ensuring instrumentation and control equipment and systems are kept in working order, monitored, and maintained for use within an industrial facility.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain, calibrate, test and repair plant instrumentation and controls to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

Perform trouble shooting and analytical activities to determine equipment issues or malfunctions.

Develop and implement solutions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Specify, procure, and install PLC hardware & other instruments. Write and download ladder logic to ensure safe and efficient operation of the site.

Provide technical advice, educate, and train users and management on usage and settings to maximize productivity and efficiency.

Serve as a controls technical and training resource for management, supervisors, and staff. When necessary, work closely with private control system design and engineering teams.

Interpret and modify drawing, schematics, and diagrams for various processes.

Maintain efficient documentation and records on operations and activities; coordinate and prepare a variety of reports as needed.

Completes a variety of atypical assignments

Works within defined processes and procedures or methodologies and may help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments

Works with a limited degree of supervision

Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, Associate’s Degree preferred

3-5 years’ relevant experience required
