Who wouldn't want to work for a company that instills and lives these values every day!If this sounds like the place for you, then keep reading!Daily Activities:You will support multiple areas of our company and be the first point of contact for both our Operations and Sales workforce.A true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the 'pulse' of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement; help create a positive work environmentAssist leaders diagnosing employee performance issues (introduce, support and use effective performance management processes, practices, tools and metrics); assist with corrective action activities, involuntary terminations, including write ups and difficult conversationsStrong interpersonal skills that will help foster and build strong trusting relationships within the organization.Provide expertise on organizational pay philosophy and supporting processesAssist employees and managers with leave of absence/FMLA and workers compensation requests and activitiesUpdate new hire records in our HRIS/Applicant Tracking System (Workday)Bias for action, strong work ethic, and desire to achieve excellenceAssist in rollout and maintenance of HR programs and practicesPartner with other areas of HR to streamline processes and encourage collaboration and consistent practicesSupport leaders and employees with all HR related activitiesYou will Need to Have: REQUIRED: 5 + years of experience as an HR Business PartnerPREFERRED: Bachelor's degree in Human ResourcesREQUIRED: Has supported an hourly and exempt employee baseProven ability to build strong relationships with managers and employeesStrong level of listening skills; ability to assess situations without overreacting; keeping a level head; providing/assisting in practical, direct and fair outcomesKnowledge of state and federal employment laws, FMLA, workers compensation and leave of absence rules and regulationsExceptional organization and follow through capabilitiesCapable of working with a sense of urgency with both the employee's and companies' best interest in mindExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMust be willing to occasionally work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays; this is critical to support the needs of the business and is subject to change.Computer and Application Skills:Strong expertise using the MS Office SuiteWorkday experience a plus both for HRIS and our applicant tracking systemWho We Are and What You Can Expect:Johnson Brothers is a national family-owned wine, spirits and beer distributor with headquarters in St. Paul, Minnesota.
