Platform Product Manager II

Job Description Summary

Join Maximus' Technology Consulting Services team supporting a Department of Defense client's exciting and innovative software factory program designed to develop and deploy digital capability to operational forces around the world. The Platform Product Manager will be responsible for:

-Building, automating and operating hybrid-infrastructure platforms
-Managing agile software and extreme programming practices
-Grooming the team's backlog, working to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned at each stage of the development lifecycle, and defining the right key performance indicators to measure product performance
-Working with the government to assess business value and prioritize all stories to ensure work focuses on maximizing value, aligns with strategy and stakeholders are aware of tradeoff decisions regarding competing priorities
-Manage, report, and facilitate certification of access for all in-scope resources (including SaaS, AWS, Azure, CSS managed applications, tools, and systems).

Required Skills:
-5+ years of experience leading teams building and developing containerized services deployed in production on orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, Mesos, etc.
-5+ years of experience managing the building of developer platform services and APIs that scale in production.
-5+ years of experience leading teams building production services using Cloud Infrastructure Providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
-3+ years of experience in Identity and Access Lifecycle Management Operations and Controls.
-Secret clearance
-High school diploma or equivalent

Desired/Preferred Skills:
-Ability to present to both internal and external stakeholders
-Prior experience supporting automation of platform management at enterprise scale and is familiar with Cloud Infrastructure providers or VMWare vSphere as well as VMWare Tanzu Application Services
-Deep understanding of modern microservices architectures, design patterns, resiliency techniques, and optimizations.

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
