Role Summary

Uses continuous improvement techniques and assists with implementation and maintenance of any necessary Cl related projects at alt Holland Mirrors plants under the direction of the Continuous Improvement Manager.

Monitors, tracks, audits, optimizes, and implements weekly at all Holland Mirrors plants, Lean Manufacturing systems such as Kanban, Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen Events, Visual Management, 5S, Error-Proofing TPM, and EIP suggestion program.

Performs all other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Maintains Lean Manufacturing systems such as Kanban, Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen Events, Visual Management, 5S, Error-Proofing, Quick Changeover & TPM.

Must be able to assist with design & construction of systems, assist with training & implementation across 3 shifts, and assist with putting controls in place to maintain the system and improvements.

Must weekly audit, monitor, and track Lean system performance in all three plants. Must elevate any non-conformances or potential failure modes to the Cl Manager and work directly with the teams to resolve issues with Lean systems.

Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives. Monitors and controls objectives and of assigned project and Establishes program timelines.

May provide work direction and / or supervision to other staff.

• Must be seeking a degree, an emphasis in Continuous Improvement is preferred.


• Demonstrated understanding of Lean Manufacturing with a least one-year preferred experience implementing Lean manufacturing.


• Must have strong computer skills and be proficient in basic usage of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint.


• Demonstrated strong communication skills to communicate with other functional areas both with operator and support staff as well.


• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills to influence decisions that affect assigned projects. This rote is that of a change agent and candidates must be able to work with all individuals and teams in a positive manner to find way to make Lean Manufacturing systems and principles become viable realities given the constraints the company faces.


• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds; work on the shop floor for extended periods of time; be able to work flexible hours occasionally if necessary to assist with projects during off-shifts or weekends.

Must be able to skillfully get involved in hands-on projects including the use of tools and power-tools to implement small improvements in work cells on occasion.
