The Ground Lead Paramedic will work under the supervision of the Sector Coordinator. The Ground Lead Paramedic delivers care to critically ill or injured patients. Patients may be transported between medical facilities or directly from the scene of an accident or illness. The Ground Lead Paramedic assists with marketing and public relations activities of the program. The Ground Lead Paramedic also may be called upon to assist in the Emergency Department and other hospital units according to RWMC policy. The Ground Lead Paramedic is responsible for daily operations and staffing of their assigned base and performs other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Graduate of an educational program for Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic, or equivalent.
LICENSURE: Current State of Nebraska and Nationally Registered EMT-Paramedic certificate/license.
Certifications/Credentials: BLS, ACLS, PALS provider, instructor preferred. NRP provider preferred.
EXPERIENCE: 2 years of experience at a paramedic level with and Advanced Life Support Service preferred.
CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS: Ability to communicate effectively using verbal and written communication skills in multiple relationships with variety of cultural and social backgrounds. Ability to recognize, anticipate, and respond to the needs of all customers such as but not limited to: patients, family members, general public, physicians, staff members, law enforcement, fire, and ( EMS ) in a caring, respectful and courteous manner.
