We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineering to join our team in Holland, MI.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will:
Work on new projects and product improvements while assuring highest quality, least costly manufacturing processes. Look for ways to add automation to current processes. Work with new equipment. Conduct cost reduction activities to determine material, labor, and overhead costs. Work with operations to trouble shoot process, develop standard work, and provide quality documentation updates. Daily meetings to align production team to meet customer demand. Responsible for plant Key Performance Indicators - Safety, Quality, Schedule, Cost and Culture through projects and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Industrial Technology.
- 1.5 years of engineering experience (mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial preferred)
- Ability to climb/bend/balance in manufacturing environment and lift/move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.
- Experience with Haworth products, manufacturing equipment and systems.
- Experience with CAD (AutoCAD, Creo or ProE preferred).
- Experience with quality systems automation & trouble shooting.
- Experience with continuous improvement projects and lean concepts.
- Experience with SAP.
- Moderate Excel skills (pivot tables).
- Able to work with a team and interact with production members.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of analysis procedures; word processing and spread sheet applications; PC and keyboard/mouse skills required.
- Ability to work cross-functionally to ensure products and materials produced meet functional requirements over life of product.
- Ability to multi-task and work in development-oriented team environment.
- Ability to occasionally travel overnight away from corporate offices, including internationally.
