This requisition is for a Hardware Engineer Sr supporting the Mission Systems Production Operations organization in Rotary & Mission Systems (RMS).
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
• Analyzing mechanical schematics and diagrams during design/development and production stages. Developing and maintaining production plans/line configuration based on program milestones. Creating work instructions based on the drawings and/or models. Providing technical guidance and timely problem resolution in support of manufacturing operators to facilitate assembly performance.
• Responsible for all aspects of additive manufacturing including design, print, machine, and paint.
• Supports the investigation of root cause of failures/defects and implementing corrective action to support continuous improvement.
• Drives adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement. Creates and analyzes 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions.
• Providing input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
