We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to conduct medical assessments for United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. The right candidate will review medical records using a web portal and perform a focused physical exam on each Veteran. The exam findings will be documented electronically through the portal. Please note this is an in-person position that does not involve prescribing medication or making disability determinations.
- Strong time management skills required to ensure daily tasks are completed and requirements are met
- Valid and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license is mandatory
- Proficiency with computer is essential
This position ensures Disability Assessments are carried out on 3-5 Veterans every workday, with the potential of travel to both Brookings and Watertown. The successful candidate will derive satisfaction from serving the Veteran community and will enjoy regular, set schedules that follow normal business hours, with no on-call duties required. This role is located in Chamberlain SD.
